How to Begin
Bring fashion items you like with you when you come to visit us. One client brought her favorite scarf. Another client brought a picture she cut from a magazine. A third client found a Victorian bathtub she loved, brought in her own digital photograph of it, and designed her room around it. Each item proved to be a wonderful starting point from which we could help our client complete a smashing design. Interestingly, the client with the scarf had both her kitchen and bathroom featured in two successive issues of Fabulous Floors magazine. The client with the magazine picture had her home featured in Architectural Digest magazine. And, the client with the Victorian bathtub photograph had her room featured in Inspired Home magazine!
Oh yes, one more thing. Make a drawing of the space to be tiled with approximate length and width measurements in feet. You do not need to do an incredibly detailed drawing sufficient to calculate the square footage of tile necessary to order, but just a simple diagram. That simple diagram will be sufficient for determining the appropriateness of tile texture, size, and scale for your space. |
